Garlic Bread Pizza

This super easy garlic bread pizza recipe is unique, delicious, and comes together in under 30 minutes! Loaded with quick homemade garlic butter, store-bought pizza sauce, and melty cheese, this simple recipe is the perfect movie night meal or shareable party appetizer. 

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. loaf French bread
  • 10 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley
  • 8 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • Kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 8 oz. thick cut shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup pepperoni
  • grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish
  • red pepper flakes, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Add butter, parsley, garlic, and a large pinch of salt and pepper to a small bowl.
  3. Mix until well combined. 
  4. Slice a loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Place cut side up on a baking sheet.
  5. Spread garlic butter in an even layer across the cut side of each piece of bread.
  6. Bake for 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and divide pizza sauce evenly between bread.
  8. Add cheese and pepperoni.
  9. Bake for another 15-20 minutes. Broil for 1-2 minutes if desired.
  10. Allow to cool for a couple minutes, slice, garnish, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Remember that the garlic flavor will mellow a bit as the garlic bread bakes in the oven, so if the garlic butter seems super garlicky, that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be! The garlic butter is going to add a delicious layer of flavor underneath the classic pizza flavors, so don’t skimp on the garlic!
  • Save yourself time and energy by putting the garlic, parsley, and butter in the food processor. The food processor will mince the garlic and parsley while combining it with the butter for a really smooth, easily spreadable garlic butter.
