This biscuits and gravy casserole is the ultimate comfort food, combining fluffy biscuits with rich, savory sausage gravy in an easy, baked dish. Perfect for a weekend brunch or a cozy breakfast-for-dinner meal!
Heat oven to 375 degrees and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Heat a large saute pan over medium heat. Add sausage and cook, crumbling with a spatula, until browned and cooked through.
Add butter and let melt. Sprinkle in flour, Italian seasoning, rubbed sage, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and a couple large pinches of salt and pepper. Cook, stirring frequently for about a minute.
Slowly whisk in half and half. Bring to a simmer and simmer gently for 3-5 minutes, or until the gravy thickens.
Pour into greased 9×13 pan.
Use a clean kitchen shears to cut the biscuits into quarters and place them in a single layer on top of the gravy.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
Let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and enjoy!
