Tips for Making

  • Switch up the jelly if you like! Apricot or cranberry are two fun choices, especially around the holidays, in place of the grape jelly.
  • You can use traditional lit’l smokies that come in a 14-ounce or 28-ounce package or the all-beef lit’l smokies that come in a 12-ounce or 24-ounce package.
  • Make a double batch in a large crockpot. You may need to cook them for a bit longer.

Easy Make-Ahead Instructions

  • These lit’l smokies are one of my favorite make-ahead appetizers!
  • You can prep everything up to 2 days in advance, cover tightly, and store in the fridge until you’re ready to cook.
  • Plan to add some extra time when you’re cooking the little smokies straight from the fridge to account for the colder temperature.

Storing Leftovers

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

Reheating

  • Reheat little smokies and the sauce in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until warmed through.
  • You can also reheat them in the microwave in 30-60 second increments until heated through.
