You Will Love This
- So fresh and fast! Other than making the bacon (which can be done ahead of time) these chicken bacon wraps take just minutes to throw together. The convenience of the rotisserie chicken means you can make these last minute or have them ready in the fridge as an easy meal prep recipe a day ahead without having to worry about what’s for lunch!

Ingredients and Substitutions
- Burrito Size Flour Tortillas – Large flour tortillas work best in this recipe so that you can easily fit everything inside. Smaller flour tortillas will work but keep in mind that you’ll have to add less filling. You could also use whole wheat tortillas or other flavored tortillas like spinach or sun-dried tomato.
- Rotisserie Chicken – Rotisserie chicken is the secret weapon to getting these chicken bacon wraps assembled in minutes. You can even buy the chicken a day or two ahead and have it already shredded and ready in the fridge to use whenever you’re hungry. Leftover grilled chicken breast works great as well or leftover chicken tenders.
- Bacon – Regular or thick cut bacon work well for this recipe. Turkey bacon works too. I like to make the bacon ahead of time and keep it in the fridge so it’s ready whenever I want to throw one of these wraps together for lunch or dinner.
- Romaine Lettuce – I like to use fresh romaine lettuce, but you can use whatever greens you have. Spinach, arugula, and other lettuce varieties will all work.
- Cheddar Cheese – I like how cheddar cheese pairs with the chicken and other ingredients, but really any cheese will do.
- Ranch Dressing – I feel like ranch is just the go-to with this flavor combination. But this chicken bacon wrap also pairs nicely with my honey Dijon dressing, creamy Greek dressing, simple Italian dressing, or my sun-dried tomato dressing as well.
Instructions
Add chicken to the tortilla.
Then add bacon.
Add lettuce and tomato.
Then finish with shredded cheese, ranch, and a couple pinches of salt and pepper.
Roll and fold into a burrito shape, cut in half and enjoy!
Tips
- Make the bacon ahead of time. As an extra time saver, cook the bacon ahead of time. You can store it in an airtight container or Ziploc bag in the fridge for a few days so that it’s ready to go whenever you are.
- Make is spicy! I love these ranch chicken wraps as is, but when I’m in the mood for a little spice, a drizzle of hot sauce takes these wraps to the next level. Hot sauce and ranch dressing are a match made in heaven so they work really well in this recipe.
- If you prefer a warm wrap, feel free to heat these up in a skillet or grill pan over medium heat or medium high heat. Brush or spray the skillet or pan with olive oil and then cook on each side for a few minutes until warmed through.
Variations
Feel free to switch up the flavors of this wrap with whatever your family enjoys. Try different veggies or cheese! Some of our favorites include:

- diced red onion
- black beans
- diced red pepper
- banana peppers
- pitted olives
- sprinkle of cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, or chili powder

Make-Ahead, Storage, Freezing, and Reheating

Can you freeze these and if so, how would you go about it.
I have not tried freezing them and I’m not exactly sure how that would go, unfortunately. I have quite an aversion to soggy food and I’d be afraid that the flour tortilla would end up getting soggy in the process of freezing and thawing them. If you do end up trying it, I’d love to hear how it goes!
This is perfect for summer lunches or school lunches! Quick, easy, and delicious!!
