Easy Dill Pickle Dip Recipe
- 10-minute appetizer. This is one of my favorites to throw together when you’re short on time but want something fun to feed your guests! It’s so quick and easy!
- Dill pickle-licious. This dill pickle dip is perfect for the pickle lovers in your life because it has the best dill pickle flavor ever! It’s cool, creamy, and loaded with crunchy pickles and fresh dill. Garlic powder and onion powder boost the pickle flavor and add a delicious savory element.
Ingredients for Dill Pickle Dip
- Cream Cheese: Adds a thick, creamy base. Let it soften at room temperature for easier mixing. Skip the low-fat or fat-free for this dip. Regular cream cheese will give you the best flavor and texture.
- Sour Cream: Makes the dip super creamy and perfectly dippable. Again, stick with regular sour cream for the best flavor and texture. Full-fat Greek yogurt works as a substitute.
- Spices: Garlic powder and onion powder add a delicious savory element and work so well with the fresh dill. Try 1-2 teaspoons ranch seasoning as a replacement.
- Dill Pickles: The star of the show! Adds crunch and a salty-tangy bite. Use your favorite brand of crunchy dill pickles or chop up pickle spears or chips.
- Pickle Juice: Boosts the dill pickle flavor and loosens the dip slightly. Add extra pickle brine for a thiner dip.
- Fresh Chopped Dill: Adds a pop of freshness. Dried dill works in a pinch, but fresh is best for bright flavor.
How to Make Dill Pickle Dip
Whip the base together. In a medium bowl, add the cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and a couple large pinches of Kosher salt and black pepper. Use an electric hand mixer to blend until smooth and creamy.
Fold in the flavor. Add the diced pickles, pickle juice, and fresh dill.
Stir gently to combine everything evenly.
Season and serve. Taste and adjust salt and pepper as needed. Serve with Ruffles chips and enjoy immediately or chill for later!
Tips for Making Dill Pickle Dip
