- It’s quick and easy to make! This chicken alfredo pizza relies on shredded rotisserie chicken and the creamy Parmesan sauce can be made up to a week in advance. Ingredients and Substitutions
- Pizza Dough – If you want to keep the prep time minimal, you can use store-bought pizza dough. But, I have a few fantastic homemade pizza dough recipes including my Quick Pizza Dough, my No Knead Pizza Dough, and my Beer Pizza Dough that will take this white pizza to the next level!
- Alfredo Sauce – I have a super simple recipe for homemade alfredo sauce that’s made with all the classic cream sauce ingredients – butter, flour, Parmesan, and heavy cream – and it takes just 15 minutes to throw together! This is used instead of classic red sauce that’s normally on pizza and it adds a ton of flavor. If you’re not in the mood to make your own white sauce, you can grab a jar of alfredo sauce from the store!
- Shredded Rotisserie Chicken – Rotisserie chicken makes this pizza a breeze to prepare! You can buy and shred it ahead of time and keep the shredded chicken in the fridge until you’re ready to make your pizza.
- Chopped Fresh Broccoli – I like to use fresh broccoli, but frozen would work as well!
- Shredded Mozzarella Cheese – If you can find whole milk mozzarella at your grocery store (not the same as fresh mozzarella!) that will add some extra flavor, but regular part skim mozzarella works too! Shredding a block yourself will usually save you a bit of money, but pre-shredded will be great on this pizza too! If you’ve got Parmesan cheese in the fridge, it’s always a good idea to throw a handful of that on too!
- Bacon – Use your favorite bacon for this recipe. My pro tip for cooking bacon is to bake it in the oven! Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Lay bacon in a single layer across the pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until crispy. This is the easiest way to cook bacon!
- Sliced Chives – I love to add thinly sliced chives to this chicken alfredo pizza recipe. But you could use fresh chopped parsley or even sliced green onions instead. The fresh flavor is going to pair well with the richness of the pizza!
Instructions
Form pizza dough into a 14″ pizza crust and transfer to a dusted pizza pan or pizza stone. If you don’t have a pizza pan, just use a parchment-lined baking sheet. Drizzle crust with olive oil and poke holes all over it with a fork.
Bake crust by itself for 4-5 minutes.
Spread alfredo sauce in an even layer across the crust.
Sprinkle pizza with half the cheese.
Add shredded chicken.
Add broccoli and remaining cheese.
Bake for 10-15 minutes. Once the pizza has just a minute or so left to bake, add bacon to the pizza and bake for another minute or two or until the edges of crust are golden brown.
Garnish with chives, parsley, and red pepper flakes. Slice and enjoy!
Tip
- Don’t skip the homemade alfredo sauce! I promise it’s worth it and it takes just 15 minutes to throw together. The best part is that you can make it up to a week in advance and store it in the refrigerator. Then just give it a quick whisk in a small saucepan, bring it to a gentle simmer and spread it on your pizza.
Variations
- Skip the meat if you want to make it vegetarian! Try adding other veggies like:
- diced red pepper
- sliced mushrooms
- baby spinach
- diced tomatoes
- Switch up the toppings based on your family’s taste! If your family doesn’t love bacon try other proteins like:
- ham
- prosciutto
- pancetta
- sausage
Make-Ahead, Storage, and Reheating
- Make-Ahead: You can do all the prep work ahead of time for this pizza! Make the dough, shred the chicken, make the parmesan garlic sauce, and prep the veggies ahead of time. This pizza is best right out of the oven, so I don’t recommend making it ahead of time. I would suggest having everything ready to throw together.
- Storage: Wrap leftover chicken alfredo pizza in plastic wrap or aluminum foil and store in the fridge for up to a week.
- Reheating: You can microwave the pizza to warm it up, but the absolute best way is to place the pizza on a pan and reheat it in the oven at a low temperature (350 degrees) until the cheese is melted and the pizza is warmed through.
